AR2723. Strategies for Sustainable Architecture. Just did not have the opportunity to read this module. i can take it if i know i was outbidded or that i just didnt have enough points to bid for this module. What's worse was that it was not even because i submitted my application late to the department. i did send out early, and together with my lecture buddies at around the same time too. They earned their spot to read this module but i didnt, all because Gmail screwed me.

Quite early on in July, i configured my Gmail account to retrieve emails from my Hotmail as well as my NUS email account to save the trouble of having to check from both accounts everyday. Early stages, it went well with many email correspondence for the Graduation Dinner Committee. My replies went through to everyone. Much the same as how i would have expected with the email i sent to the department to apply to read AR2723.

This morning, with all the craze to begin our dreaded process of bidding for the modules we want to read this upcoming semester, a news came to me about an email from the department which notified students who did not qualify a spot to read AR2723. i rushed to check my email and there was nothing in my inbox. "No news could be good news," i assured myself. Time went on with the discussion about so many uncertainties in the CORS system with MJ and Lychee. In an attempt to quell their worries, together with the advice from Sharon, i decided to send an email to the department to make my enquiries. The reply came. The initial few lines confirmed my assumption that no news was good news. But Jolene told me that she didnt received my application. In fact, she received none of my application for AR2723 and LSM1401. The fortunate thing was that there were still spaces for LSM1401. But for AR2723, i was not as lucky. The class is full and only if someone in ESE was kind enough to give up his or her space to me, my opportunity to read AR2723 ends here.

It was not because i failed to bid for AR2723. It was not because i submitted my application late. It was all because of an unforeseen technical glitch which destroyed my chance with reading this module.

Alright, enough of whining. There is nothing i can do now. CE2155. i hope you will do me proud with a respectable grade at the end of this semester. i know i have to do my part to earn my grade too.
