Balls for the Captain

This year, i managed to participate in J.Low's church's annual captain's ball tournament. i missed it last year for a reason which i cannot remember. But if it was last year, the likelihood of being unavailable on a weekend could only be because of standby duty. Oh well, i made it this year.

i loved today, although i had to sacrifice my mugging time. Why the urge to mug? Cos i have Chemistry mid-terms on Wednesday. But i shouldnt complain because our dear Fitzkhoon has a quiz on Monday and yet he still went down. i guess the mugging spirit in us NUS dudes just couldnt be ignored. i brought my Chemistry notes down to mug in when possible. Same goes for Yaowen. Then, when i met up with Weiming, i caught him with his MA1505 notes. And the three of us are from NUS. Sad shit.

Anyway, back to the main topic, captain's ball today was ultra fun. It felt like i was back in my AC days. It could be because i was with my AC brothers, but there were girls in our team too. i could just feel the AC spirit running through our team. Certainly, we were playing to win. We were aggressive. We were enthusiastic. And definitely, we were working as a team. But alas, our teamwork wasnt strong enough to see us through to the next round. Nevertheless, i was very glad for the whole event because i can sense that through sports and games, our unity and camaraderie in the Brotherhood is strengthening.

On a final note, i want to say that Melissa Lin impressed me with her "aggression" today. i must stress that it is not anything bad because i have, on a few occasions, heard about what she says to Lionel when she's not in a fantastic mood. In fact, i like it because i admire people with the will to succeed. In this context, it strongly relates to winning but i decided to use the word succeed because i know winning isnt everything. Lionel, you better watch out! You better dont anyhow unleash her wrath on you.
