Surprise Find

i managed to stumble onto three things in my life that i thought i had lost them for good. They are tangibles, so dont think i'm trying to be emotional here.

The first item is the 3 x Hoegaarden i bought from Changi Airport DFS after i came back from Hokkaido. In a flash of like maybe 2 or 3 days after purchase, they disappeared from my sight and i couldnt find them in my fridge. i thought my dad had drank them all so quickly. A few weeks later, my brother told me he found them it a corner of my kitchen. i think my mum kept them hidden from my dad. Haha... So well hidden, that even i couldnt find them.

The second item is this container of almond cookies that was in my house since Christmas. After like maybe 1 or 2 weeks after i received from the baker, which was the new year, it disappeared from my kitchen table. i thought my mum threw it away because the cookie might have fungi growing on them. There were sugar icings all over every cookie, so there was no way to figure out if it was the sugar icing or the "mushrooms". To my surprise, just a few days back, i found it in my refrigerator too! Oh my god, my mum keeps things and never tell me.

The third item is the scariest of the lot because it dates back all the way to July last year. That time, i invited some of my JC classmates to my house to view the fireworks during the NDP'07 rehearsal. Damn cool, right? Can view fireworks from my house. And every year some more! But it was harder last year because NDP was held at the floating pontoon at Marina. Where it used to be at Kallang, the view was better. Oh well, so many new skyscrapers are coming up at CBD that the view is getting worse with every passing year. Haha! Anyway, a classmate of mine, her name's Yulin, she bought some confectionery candies from US and brought it along to share with my classmates. It was a freaking big bag of candies. Although we ate some, there was a lot left and in the end, it went to the same place. My fridge! i thought it could have been cleared quickly. Because then, i was still serving NS. So i returned to camp, the usual 5 days cloistered in there and only spent my weekends at home. Never did i realise, nobody at home touched those candies. Right till now, those candies are still in my refrigerator. i wonder if they have reached their expiry date.
