A New Year, a new life to this blog of mine
2008 have arrived. i have really left my blog to die on its own. The previous post was so freaking damn long ago, and it was pretty emotional. Dont really want to talk about it. i'll briefly say that i was duped by an MLM company. 'nuff said!
People always say to look forward and embrace the future. That will be what i will be doing. It is the exciting and fun future that will keep me going. Right now, with NS all done and far behind me, it's time to embrace the next phase of my life. University starts in May for me. So in between now till then, i'll find work and enjoy the time i have before all hell breaks loose in university.
So what has happened during the end of 2007 and the start of 2008? Plenty...
Basically, right after ORD, i managed to find myself a job at Suntec as a gift wrapping personnel, with many other ad-hoc jobs, thanks to John. Seriously, i really find the Suntec Management in need of much improvement over their handling of temporary staffs. i mean, okay, we're not really important people in the hierarchy of things. But, i seriously feel that as fellow people, everyone should be treated with the same amount of respect and attention. Oh well, i dont really want to comment much after that. i mean, i have already left that place pretty early. i really pity those who stayed on till the end, or almost the end. All in all, i feel that my only reward from it all is to be able to know a couple of wonderful friends, with a special mention to one of them. Right after this, i pretty much laze around at home and incur negative income.
Another significant event was the paint job at home. It was a nightmare to me. It took a total of 3 days to finish painting my house, and that is only exclusively to the walls of the living room and the 3 bedrooms. The ceilings are not yet done. i really wonder when it'll be finished. i dont really want to think about that.
For the special mention that i said previously, i have to say that i found myself a special, shall i say, union? i cant really find a better word for it. But currently, things are getting a little complicated and there is a mixture of thoughts and feelings in me. i'll leave that to another entry.
The countdown to 2008 was very special and eventful for me. Never in my life have i ever crossed over to the New Year in this fashion. And i must agree with either Tiffany or Ruby, i forgot who mentioned this, that it was great celebrating the New Year in this way because we got to enjoy ourselves with friends and loved ones, while we worked. No expenditure incurred, yet we earned some money for ourselves in the process. It was tiring, but it was definitely fun! i worked as a waiter for this countdown function over at SIA Group Sports Club. For the first time in my life, i have to wear a bow tie. i have wore ties before, but not a bow tie. Here are some pictures i took with Tiffany and Ruby.

Me and Tiffany

Tiffany, me and Ruby
Haha, you must be wondering why i only take pictures with girls, right? Well,
bo bian la. Even these two pictures i took them on the sly when the whole function room was dark. And so happens that Tiffany and Ruby were near me. Dont i just look damn cartoon wearing a bow tie? Oh well, in any case, we also got to meet and talk to this captain(pilot). He's a very interesting character. He speaks with a level of confidence beyond anyone i had ever known. He has a pair of eyes that can see right through your exterior shell. He looked at me and commented about my character with such accuracy, i felt a chill down my tingling spine. But then again, i never falter in his presence because i know he is a man who has seen many things and experienced a lot from life. If there is a chance, i will like to meet him again and have a good talk.

Took this picture with my family on New Year's Day when there was a gathering with my relatives from my dad's side. It looks damn good cos i think i look damn shuai in it. Hahaha! Self-praise! i love doing that. In any case, i only slept for about 4 hours then i headed for this gathering. Very tired, but i felt wonderful meeting up with my cousins and relatives. It was a lunch event at Orchid Country Club. The food sucks for many dishes. But the atmosphere with the people who were there beats the sucky food hands down.
Oh well, i see this line in many people's msn nick but i'll still say it. Happy 2008!
