Gosh, this is my 300th post

Happy 300th post! i cant believe after so long, i have finally reached my 300th post. But this isnt a surprise, considering that i had disappeared for a few months. My blog is already 4 years old. It's a little like raising a child, you have to maintain it, and give it a new look once in a long while, like changing a hairstyle, or changing a spectacle frame. But one thing for sure, the part unlike raising a child, you can abandon it for 6 months or so, Welfare Service wont come knocking on my door, although my friends will come abound asking me about my inactivity. Well, i have better change subject. This post isnt going to keep revolving around this.

i spent last week at home recuperating from sore eyes. This isnt one kind illness bestowed upon you. It is extremely uncomfortable. According to http://www.mydr.com.au/default.asp?article=320,

At some time, most of us have had sore eyes. This is distressing but, fortunately, is usually not serious. The most common cause is conjunctivitis, an inflammation of the clear covering of the white of the eyes.

This may be due to infection, either with bacteria or viruses, or it may be due to an allergy as, for example, occurs in hay fever.

Bacterial infections usually cause a discharge of very sticky pus. Often the eyelids are hard to open in the morning and seem ‘glued’ together. Viral infections may be more painful, with very red eyes and less discharge. They spread easily and can be passed on by contact and sharing towels, face flannels and so on. Allergic problems cause a gritty feeling, redness and watering of the eyes.

Treatment usually consists of frequently inserted eye-drops with, when there is a discharge, regular bathing with warm, salty water to get rid of the pus.

Sometimes more serious conditions can be mistaken for conjunctivitis. Medical attention should always be sought if:

  • only one eye is affected;
  • there is a lot of pain;
  • vision is affected; or
  • a small baby has discharging or red eyes.

The part about the difficulty in opening your eyelids in the morning, it is true and i experienced it on Tuesday morning. And it is freaking painful having to open your eyelid, even when done slowly and patiently. i think some of my eyelashes were sacrificed during the process. Thankfully, this only happened for one morning. The other mornings, i woke up opening my eyes with ultra ease. i really should not take things for granted, especially with my eyes. After this sore eyes saga, i really am cherishing my eyes a lot more. Even though there is still a slight tinge of redness in both my eyes right now, i really feel so much better now. Those precious assets of mine are less swollen now (but my mum still finds them puffy, i dont know why) and less red.

Well, good health has still been evading me. Still recovering from sore eyes, i am developing my next illness. Out of the blue, i'm having a serious bout of flu and a dry cough. These 2 weeks have really been getting onto my nerves. When can i get back to my normal self? i really do not want to feel unwell. i want my good health back! i want my healthy self back! Come on! Return to papa!
