i loved this weekend that is ending. Why? Because i had it all planned out for a mini gathering on Saturday evening over at Holland Village. Finally, after settling down in a new environment, i am just longing for some familiar faces to warm my heart. It isnt exactly a class gathering, but a few guys and girls in my class met up yesterday evening for a meal at Swensens. Regular EARTHQUAKE!! ICE CREAM!! Damn shiok! It has been a long while since i last saw my JC classmates, and i am very happy to see them again.

Right now, i am not feeling depressed about having to book in this evening. The reason for this, i believe, is because i have spent my time out here in the civilian world wisely. The previous weekend was spent lazing at home and soaking in the civilian atmosphere, just like many other past weekends. But this time, i made up my mind to use my bookout time in a better way, ever since last Sunday. Besides spending time over a meal at Holland V, we went down to Michelle's place to play mahjong, followed by Monopoly. i cant remember when the last time i played Monopoly was. It sure was fun with all the collusion taking place. Too bad, my team, comprising Michelle and Yulin, lost out to Sam-leen and Yuxuan. The game could still have continued when my team became cash-strapped (but still asset rich) but we decided to head home due to the late hour. It was already 12 midnight. There were no more bus services and Nightrider bus services available, so i had no choice but to take a cab back home. It was the third consecutive day i took a cab home and each time, the cost of the journey hits near or above 10 bucks. i need to drastically cut down on taking taxis when travelling.

It's a 4-day week this week. i just have to endure and soon, the next bookout will come face to face with me once again. i hope i spend the next weekend in a good way like this weekend. My mind will be occupied by ORD once in a while. But it's still a long way to go so i try my best to keep that thought away.
