It has been a long time since I last blogged. So many things have happened, some interesting, some amazing, some... just plain tiring. It is the 'plain tiring' part which kept me away from my computer. Also, my PS2 has played a part in that as well. I think I am very addicted to games on my PS2. Oh gosh, I had better get down to start doing some work. I need to get the inertia of studying back, especially when there are going to be many OGL activities for the rest of this December holiday. Let's see where to begin... Was it last Friday? We were celebrating a belated birthday for Regina over at the sushi bar at the top floor of Heeren. Happily tucking sushis into our stomach, Stef's sister, Venetia, called her to tell her of a job lobang. Yay! Part-time job for this holiday. Finally, I can get to earn some extra pocket money. Well, how wrong was I. I will rather not earn this share of fortune during this holidays. It was a terrible job. The second worst job I have ever encountered in my life, first being my job experience over at Grand Hyatt working in Banquet. Anyway, back to the topic. This was a job helping a company do surveys. I tell y'all, the person who designed the survey, well, I can do a better job than YOU!! How can there be so many 'Fill-in-the-blanks' questions in a survey? And what about some retarded *visualising* question? Totally useless man! If that person(who design the survey) were to come up with rationales behind each and every individual question, I bet she will just collapse and die. Not only am I the one complaining. The rest who were involved in this job definitely see eye to eye with me. People whom I surveyed, plus people whom I know, says the survey sucks. I think if a survey which takes up to 15min, average, and with questions which make you think tremendously hard, is a really BAD one... Whatever... I am done with all these shit, and I want my pay! Work aside. I made an exciting and amazing discovery about my life. Vince is not only just a friend who shares the same birthday as me. It seems like we share a greater form of affinity than just being 'almost-twins'. We are actually distant relatives!! Omigosh, I really couldnt believe it when I first discovered this. We are not really very distant, but neither are we that close in the family tree. I really believe 'someone up there' is making this world such a small one. Well, as how Regina puts it, families among families, there are bound to be links here and there. It is just that we did not know of their presence. I am so going to look at this world very differently. La Famiglia. This will be the theme of NJC Orientation 2005. Quite cool. But why is Lignum called Patriani? Did I even spell that correctly? But anyway, dont you think Patriani sounds like a maid's name? Oh man, the worst news to break will be that we cant change it anymore. The best solution, and the only one, is to change its pronunciation. The other houses have better and nicer-sounding names. Well, I have more to whine about Orientation 2005. This time, I must, and I have to learn the steps of Mass Dance. Mastering it will be the correct word. There is no room for error. I will be a platform dancer. I have a fixed partner, Li Yan from Solaris IP. Me and my partner will be who the next batch of J1s are going to emulate to learn their dance steps. Actually, why work so hard? I am sure there will be people who will pon Mass Dance and not have the heart to even attend such activities. With such half-hearted people, why put so much effort into practice? Wait wait wait... I better not think in this way. Otherwise, I will never ever master all my steps. I will actually be making a fool of myself in the end. I will just put my best in this and have fun along the way. I like to dance. Just like how I have enjoyed myself during Cheerleading. Speaking of cheerleading, I bet it must have been Amanda who put me on the platform for mass dance after my act in cheerleading that time. Never mind...... First practice for Mass Dance took place today. Twist your leg to the left, move your hand to the right. Omigosh, I am getting all cross-legged. I am having a huge problem in linking all the dance steps together. The breakdown of each and every dance step isnt that hard, but setting them into one continuous motion is one hell of a great difficulty. Practise makes perfect. Isnt it? Okay, I am going to make full use of every practice. My dance partner for today was.... *drum-roll*... Regina! Omigosh! Luckily, I am going to have a fixed dance partner. I pity the person who is going to be Regina's dance partner. She will surely keep on asking that person to pon mass dance with her. Haha... I actually kind of like Mass Dance. So, there's that little clash of interest. If, and only if, but that's not going to happen anyway, Regina is going to be my dance partner, she will try to skip Mass Dance, while I will want to go for it. What's going to happen? I will be dancing partner-less. Aiyah, let's not talk about what is never going to happen. One great lesson learnt today from Mass Dance. Never swing your partner too hard, otherwise she is going to slam right into the wall, or onto the floor. Right, Samuel?
